Join us for a Canadian #MSFTEduChat TweetMeet on the Sustainable Development Goals: Tuesday, April 24th, 7:00 PM EDT

In 2015, UN world leaders agreed to 17 goals for a better world by 2030. The Sustainable Development Goals, also known as the Global Goals, were born. Now they've become the centre of classroom learning for teachers around the world, and Canada is leading the way!
What are some of the Global Goals that resonate with students? What projects have classes been dreaming up to address them? What outcomes do teaching these goals have on learners? We want to hear from you!

On Tuesday, April 24th at 7:00 PM EDT, our team of guest-hosts will be connecting with educators across Canada on Twitter. We'll discuss the amazing things that Canadian students and teachers are doing to address the Global Goals, and the outcomes they've seen in their classrooms and communities. Wherever you are across the country, mark your calendar and join us for #MSFTEduChat Canada!

Meet our hosts:
-Kristine Holloway, David Leeder Middle School, Mississauga (@mspaperless)
-Vince Bénard, École secondaire Jeunes sans frontières, Brampton (@HTZfan)
-Nathalie MacDonald, École élémentaire Académie de la Tamise, London (@Mme_Nathalie1)
-Joseph Archer, Lakewood Elementary School, Port Dover (@ArcherJoe)
-MarthaJez, Fair Chance Learning (@marthajez)

What are #MSFTEduChat Canada TweetMeets?

Every month, Microsoft in Education Canada organizes a social event on Twitter for Canadian educators. The hashtag we use is #MSFTEduChat. A team of topic-specialists prepare and host these TweetMeets together. They craft questions around a certain topic and share them on Twitter, then our digital attendees strike up a conversation around the topic.
All you have to do is keep an eye on that hashtag and contribute any insights, ideas, or expertise to the conversation. Or you can just listen in. It's a great way to connect and learn!

The easiest way to keep on top of the conversation is by using TweetDeck. Our friend Marjolein Hoekstra created a quick tutorial to help her OneNote Education TweetMeet attendees. It's a great resource to help you follow the hashtag #MSFTEduChat during the conversation.

We can't wait to hear what Canadian educators have to say about the Sustainable Development Goals. Join us on Twitter on Tuesday, April 24th at 7:00 PM EDT. If you have any questions, connect with the Microsoft in Education Canada team on Twitter by sending a message to @MicrosoftEduCA.

We'll see you at the chat!
